Global Debates and the Global Citizenship Foundation Renew Partnership to Strengthen Dialogue and Civic Engagement Among Young Citizens
We are thrilled to announce that the Global Debates initiative has renewed its official partnership with the Global Citizenship Foundation, continuing a collaboration that has thrived for the past eight years. π€
The Global Citizenship Foundation (gcf.ngo) is a registered international not-for-profit specialist organization established with the mandate to advance United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 4.7 (Education for Global Citizenship and Sustainable Development) worldwide. The GCF focuses on fostering active global citizenship and transforming education to promote human and planetary flourishing.
The Global Debates (globaldebates.org) is an social initiative dedicated to fostering a culture of debate, dialogue, civic awareness, engagement, and action. The initiative provides a structured platform where debaters, educators, and communities can come together to exchange ideas, challenge perspectives, and build skills for thoughtful participation in civic life through promotion of its unique global debates format.
In line with its mission, the GCF continues its strong partnership with Global Debates to support the development and implementation of tools that strengthen civic engagement, global awareness, and solidarity. Together, we aim to continue building capacity toward advancing SDG 4 (Quality Education), Target 4.7 (Education for Global Citizenship and Sustainable Development), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
This renewed association reinforces our shared commitment to equipping education leaders, educators, young people, and learners with the knowledge, tools, and structured support they need to become responsible civic actors, prepared to address the challenges of today and shape the opportunities of tomorrow.
